What has happened at Instructure, the supplier that operates Canvas?
Instructure, the supplier of the Canvas learning management system, has experienced a security incident. Canvas is used by several higher education institutions in Sweden and internationally. According to the supplier, the incident has been dealt with and is currently under further investigation.
Is Canvas safe to use?
Yes. According to the supplier, the security incident is no longer active. At present, there is no reason to shut down or avoid using Canvas. As always, however, it is important to remain vigilant, particularly against phishing attempts and scams.
