Ideas in action: Turning research into real-world impact
Welcome to an inspiring event for researchers who are interested in exploring how to enhance the impact and innovation potential of their research.
We will hear from two Faculty of Medicine researchers who have successfully combined research excellence with innovation:
- Annika Lexén will share insights from her research on mental health and her work leading the Generation Z project, developing digital solutions to support young adults’ well-being.
- Lao Saal will present how his research led to the creation of SAGA Diagnostics, a company recently acquired by Roche. He will also speak on the development of a diagnostic test which is now implemented as a clinical routine on breast cancer patients.
In addition, Cecilia Jädert (LU Innovation) and Christine Widstrand (LU Ventures) will give a brief introduction to how they support researchers in developing ideas and translating discoveries into real-world impact.
The event will conclude with a networking mingle with light refreshments, offering the opportunity to connect with fellow researchers, speakers, and representatives from LU Innovation and LU Ventures. During the mingle, a small exhibition will showcase innovations supported through their work.
We look forward to welcoming you to an afternoon of inspiration, ideas, and new opportunities!
